BLM FINEARTS is honored to announce that its major Winter 2012 gallery exhibition will take place at Gallery Provocateur in Chicago.(GALLERY LINK) The gallery show opens Saturday, February 18th at 8PM.

On display will be a retrospective of "BLM Photography". The gallery will include over 50 images, highlighting the collaboration, beauty and dreams of over 25 models. The work incorporates the techniques of draping and light sculpting that have, for over 20 years, been my passion. The 16 X 20 images are custom archival prints on a luster pearl surface. Images are signed and numbered in limited editions of 25. Images are available for sale either framed or unframed.

The fact that my work is being displayed at Gallery Provocateur is very significant to me for two reasons. Firstly, my initial "real" gallery show was at Echo Gallery, the first gallery curated and owned by Veronika. Secondly, Veronika has been an inspirational model for my finearts photography beginning with my very first studio. Her sense of emotion, grace, creativity and "infectious energy" clearly set the standard for other models. She gives new definition to creative collaboration and to embracing the photographer's vision.

On September 18, 2011, photography lost one of its finest spokespersons and practitioners. Art Ketchum was a teacher, master photographer, critic, author and voice for the power of a camera. On a much more personal level, he was a trusted friend, confidant and frequent guest photog in my studio. I always felt he viewed my work with a set of highly skilled, yet trusted eyes. He taught with love and compassion, never demeaning, always supportive. I miss his friendship, guidance and unbridled knowledge. This gallery show is dedicated to Art. I feel his presence every time I press the shutter on my camera.

The gallery show will run through March 23.
